Seeking help requires a vulnerability that can be uncomfortable and scary at times. I want to commend you for making that choice for yourself and welcome to the Awareness and Wellness Center. I am originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was an international student in the US. The experiences faced by immigrants and international students can be challenging and lonely which I have a deep understanding of. As a therapist, I focus on helping individuals’ transition and adapt through increasing their awareness. I am focused on practicing cultural humility when working with clients.

As a therapist, I have a background in substance use and trauma within women in early recovery. I have been trained in supporting clients in managing stress, anxiety and depression. My aim with all my clients is to provide a non-judgmental and compassionate treatment using an eclectic approach that pulls from techniques such as Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to name a few. Every person has an individualized trajectory to growth, and I am dedicated to supporting you to reach your personal goals. I focus on repairing interpersonal relationships with others and also mending the relationship with yourself.

My pathway to counseling is not straight forward, as I have past experiences in music and music therapy. I am confident my experiences have shaped me into the therapist I am. I look forward to supporting and challenging you through this special journey of yours.
