Pre-Licensed Psychotherapist
Pronouns: He/Him
Hello! The process of finding the right therapist can be tough, and I want to make it easier! I strive to create a warm, open, non-judgemental space for anyone who seeks therapy. Whether you’re in crisis or just need to vent, I’m here. I’ve been on both sides of the equation – therapist and client – so I understand how challenging and rewarding therapy can be. Let’s step forward together!
Background
I’m a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. I work with adolescents and adults, and I have passion for couples counseling and for supporting people in the LGBTQIA+ community. I offer both in-person and virtual counseling sessions.
Outside of my therapy work, I love to start the day with a yoga class and end the day curled up with my cat…named Cat. As a hobby, I have written and produced short films with very generous local actors and crew just for fun. I also value spending meaningful time with my family and friends, especially my little niece and nephew. I am dedicated to creating an open, affirming, and nonjudgmental space for clients. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, I invite you to connect with me and set up a first session! Together, we can create space for healing, growth, and authenticity!
Therapeutic Style
My approach is person-centered and humanistic. What that means to me is, each person that I meet will be seen as a holistic person that is within their environment around them, not just in the vacuum of our 50-minute meetings. I will always tailor my work to best fit you and your goals. I offer an empathetic, supportive, affirming, and collaborative presence. Theoretical frameworks that I am guided by include CBT, DBT, ACT, somatic counseling, mindfulness-based interventions, feminist theory, and existentialism theory. Together we can sort out the messiness of life and work towards a stronger and more authentic version of you!
