Hello and welcome to everyone reading this! I am grateful to be back at AWC as a full-time clinician after finishing my clinical pursuits in the healthcare setting for the past 7 years. For those who know and those who don’t, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been working in the helping profession since 2014. Throughout these pursuits, I have also become a certified clinician in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and a certified clinician in Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma (ITCT).

During my time as a helping professional, I have had the privilege of supporting people who are navigating various things that may impact their general feelings of happiness, their relationships with family and friends, their engagement with hobbies, or their outcomes in school and work. And yes, the above can apply to 12-year-olds in middle school, a college first year student or a student in graduate school, a working professional, parent or not, or an adult seeking to talk about things they are going through.

I am grounded and affirmed in culturally responsive and trauma-focused lenses of therapy and theory, and I work with people who have also experienced things associated with trauma, traumatic stress, grief, and related experiences. I do this work because of my compassion for it but also so people can use the time in our professional relationship to not only process their experiences and their feelings associated with them, but also so they can create meaningful awareness or change for themselves. I hope that we can create a relationship that allows trust to be built so anyone working with me can have the great chance of authentically focusing on themselves and their stories.

Some things that may be desired by people who see me for therapy are: trust in self, increased satisfaction in life, improved performance in academics or relationships, managed confidence, increased assertiveness, management of nightmares or intrusive thoughts, taking things less personally, feeling less agitated, improved mourning and grief responses, managing emotions with less disruptions, or feeling less irritable when around everyday tasks, family, friends, and loved ones.

If the above resonates with you or resonates with someone you care about, maybe I am the counselor you take a chance with, or rather, encourage someone to come see.
