I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for supporting individuals through life’s emotional and psychological challenges. With over seven years of counseling experience, I’ve supported individuals in a variety of settings—including behavioral health clinics, community mental health centers, and university counseling centers. I have particular passion and experience in working with clients experiencing mental health crises, those living with severe and persistent mental illnesses, and individuals navigating cross-cultural or immigration-related stress.
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and a Master of Science in Global Health from Duke University. Born and raised in China, I’ve spent the past decade living, studying, and working in North Carolina, where I developed a deep appreciation for cross-cultural experiences. My educational background and international experiences have shaped a clinical perspective that acknowledges both personal and systemic factors influencing well-being.
I offer therapy in both English and Mandarin Chinese, grounded in a trauma-informed, multicultural, and person-centered approach. My therapeutic style is eclectic and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Experiential Therapy—always tailored to each client’s unique needs. I provide both short-term and long-term counseling, depending on your goals, needs, and life circumstances.
In the therapy room, I bring my full self—my cultural background, personality, humor, and lived experiences—all of which allow me to connect with clients authentically and meaningfully. Outside of work, I enjoy practicing Muay Thai, spending time in nature, being around animals (especially goats!), savoring authentic Chinese food, and connecting with friends and community.
