Chris Denard, LPC

Pronouns: he/him/his

Welcome, and thanks for checking out my page! My name is Chris Denard and I bring over 10 years of experience in treatment to AWC. I’ve worked with diverse populations in a number of settings, such as a large residential facility in Chicago for adults diagnosed with severe mental illness, a rural Ohio county drug court program, an adolescent drug and alcohol inpatient program in a Pittsburgh suburb, and most recently severing as Clinical Supervisor in an outpatient drug and alcohol program for a community corrections center located in the heart of downtown.

I came across the saying “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor” at a particularly challenging time in my own life, and it has been my personal motto ever since. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, we will work collaboratively to navigate life’s stormy waters. It is my goal as a therapist to assist you in not only overcoming challenges, but also use experience as a source of personal growth and resilience.
